Tverskaya square

Tverskaya square

Temporary fair pavilions on Tverskaya square, Moscow.

This project’s aim is to create a comfortable area for holding festivals and fairs.

Pergola pavilions are set to the area’s rectangular shape, grouped and aligned in squares facing Tverskaya street. In the center of the area there appears a space separated from pedestrian traffic. Inside each pergola, there are transformable commercial pavilions, kiosks and open verandas. All of those are heated, that’s why those pavilions can be used throughout a year (for Moscow City Day, Christmas fairs, city festivals, etc.) and can have a variety of functions (trade, master classes, cafés).

Constructions are made with metal and wooden framework.
