The Triennale of Milan exhibition

NRDN has participated in XXI Triennale of architecture and design that is held in Milan. Russia was represented by the exhibition project “Let avant-garde heritage be!” of Schusev State Museum of Architecture.
Exhibition’s theme (architectural avant-garde which is popular in all over the world) is not that simple. Architectural masterpieces are often kept in a sad state.
While highlighting problems, the exhibition also refers to five positive examples. Those are five different strategies of bringing architectural monuments in Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Samara, Rostov-on-Don back to life.
The exhibition is small but deep. It was interesting to try 3D print technology, which we’d never used in exhibitions before. Our programmers have traditionally made interactive graphics of objects from museum funds. It embodies creative work of soviet architects. Specially for Triennale we’ve brought out a catalogue of the exhibition in English and Italian.
We would like to express our gratitude to the strong team of Schusev museum led by the curator of the exhibition Irina Corobyina. Only because of efficient cooperative work we’ve managed to put through this complex project as early as possible.
